Race wins to Australian crews in the Nacra 17 and 49erFX were the highlights of an otherwise tough third day at Gdynia in Poland.

Despite some high scores, three crews have qualified for gold fleet in the 49erFX, with Natasha Bryant and Annie Wilmot in 8^th place after taking 4^th place in the one race of the day, Tess Lloyd and Jaime Ryan celebrating a win and 19^th place, and Ella Clark and Amelia Stabback securing the final gold fleet spot despite their discarded 18^th.

"We lost a lot of position in our last race so we're still a bit disappointed," Stabback said. " But we're really happy to get into gold and move up from here."

Clark said coach Javier Torres had been a key reason for their recent improvements. 

"Javi joined us just before we went to New Zealand for our training camp and we're absolutely loving working with him. He knows exactly what he's talking about and just has the best energy."

In the Nacra 17 fleet, Nathan and Haylee Outteridge recovered from a poor start to win the only race possible in the choppy but light conditions. The siblings team will compete in gold fleet alongside Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin, who are in 8^th, Paul Darmanin and Lucy Copeland, who have been impressive so far this regatta and sit in 11^th, and Conor Nicholas and Hayley Clark in 25^th.

Gold fleet racing lies ahead for Will Phillips and Iain Jensen, and David Gilmour and Joel Turner, despite unfavourable results in the 49er.
