Aussie Otto takes Kiel Week bronze
Published Thu 27 Jun 2019
Emerging Australian sailor Otto Henry has scored a bronze medal in the Laser Radial at Kiel Week in Germany.
Henry finished just two points behind the eventual winner Wonn Kye Lee from Singapore, and one point behind Emma Savelon from the Netherlands.
It was a fine result for the Sydneysider, as he fought his way to a podium finish across 11 gruelling races in the fleet of 125.
The Kiel result bodes well for Henry, as he moves on to the Laser Radial Youth European Championships in Athens this week alongside other Australians including Paige Caldecoat, Maddie O'Shea and reigning Last Radial world champion Zac Littlewood.
