What do you love about sailing?
I love that sailing is something you can do for your whole life. There’s so many different classes and people that you can sail with, it’s such a great community so the opportunities never really end.
What’s the sailing community like?
The sailing community is great. There’s people of all ages involved and some people just have heaps of experience and are willing to share it with you which is awesome. You can also help others who are trying to learn as well, so it’s all just one big community that is trying to help each other.
What’s your favourite place to sail?
In Australia it would be Sydney Harbour, there’s always so much going on and lots to see so it’s never a boring day. Outside of Australia it would be Lanzarote, there’s lots of swell, lots of waves and heaps to explore.
What are you most excited about for Paris 2024?
I’d say the different type of racing we’ll experience. There’s just 24 people who will be competing in Marseille and we usually have a lot more, so I’m excited to see how it all goes.
What would you say to someone who is thinking of trying sailing but isn’t sure?
Just pull the trigger - do it!
